This week SFpark won the Living Labs Global Award 2012 for Santiago de Chile. For the 2012 Living Labs Global Awards, twenty-one cities from around the world presented specific urban challenges and over 500 companies from 50 countries responded with their innovative solutions.

The SFMTA has revised the draft Mission Bay parking management proposal so that it only includes the area north of Mariposa Street, east of 7th Street, and south of Bryant Street. Based on requests from neighbors, nearby areas in Dogpatch and Potrero Hill will have separate proposals and community outreach efforts.

The SFMTA will no longer propose for these neighborhoods to be included as SFpark pilot areas. As SFMTA revises parking management proposals for each of these areas, they will reflect its regular policies and practices.

Rates at some SFpark meters bottomed out at $0.25 per hour after the SFMTA made its fifth demand-responsive rate adjustment at SFpark meters last week.
SFMTA upgrades the SFpark.org online parking map using OpenGeo technology

Today, the SFMTA aunched a new interactive parking map for SFpark.org. The SFMTA developed the new map in collaboration with OpenGeo, a division of the non-profit OpenPlans and a leader in open source geospatial technology.
